Every single design was born and raised right here in Newton Abbot and by a combination of precision design, attention to detail and first rate manufacturing they are the only waterproofs to achieve the three most inhospitable objectives on earth - Everest, the North Pole and the South Pole. Many have tried and all have failed excepting ourselves but we took on these challenges as the toughest test bed for our designs and they came through flying the colours of the Union Jack for British expertise and achievement. |  |
| Similarly we have had a long association with professional mountaineers especially RAF Mountain Rescue Teams and these have helped hone our designs during the worst mountain weather imaginable. To prove the veracity of our designs, especially with regard to their durability we also supply leading international mountain guides. These are no nonsense professionals that spend more time in the mountains than anyone else. Consequently weak points are rapidly revealed in poorly made and badly manufactured waterproofs - whilst the care that goes into our designs is thankfully appreciated. In a year long practical test for durability, waterproofs, breathabilty and design integrity we also the supplied all the instructors in the Outward bound with a set of waterproofs. This represents many thousands of hours in wind, rain and snow on mountains and moors throughout the year. It was also a gauntlet that no other manufacturer of waterproofs was prepared to pick up!
