Fergus Lyon
"The Mistral jacket and overtrousers arrived in time for some truly horrendous West Highland weather. The jacket design and quality of construction is excellent and have kept me dry and comfortable. The attention to detail in the pockets, hood and the cutaway at the zipper bottom is way ahead of it's price bracket. The breathable fabric must also be of a high quality as it could cope with me working hard in mild but very wet and humid conditions. The high front and back on the overtrousers are superb for working with wet Blackface sheep and the clean lines and close fitting legs reduce snagging on horns and gates.

An excellent product, thank you."
Mathew Grove
"Thank you, just a note to say thank you for a great product - I must've bought this coat 15 years ago, and its just reaching the end of its life, damage and waterproofing. Its been brilliant and done many miles in all weathers.
Thanks again - I'll buy another."
Damien Mansell
Damien Mansell took a Vander Icefield Jacket to the Norwegian Svalbard Glaciers in the most extreme conditions. He studied at Swansea university in Glaciology and has since become well known for his work.

Damien was asked to comment on the jacket features that were particularly useful:

“The hood and the large strap that came around the front was brilliant for those really cold days when everything needed to be covered. With a buff or balaclava and a pair of goggles this did the job nicely and kept the wind out. The fleece lining in the hood was perfect for the long days at the end of the field season when temperatures were more variable. A good hood was better than a good hat as you could cover up without having to fish around for a hat.”
